Students are always encouraged to problem solve on their own as well as a team!

Sharing what we know

Students work together to produce different visuals for Math. They share their ideas with their peers to learn from each other.

Decimal Pick Up

Students each wrote 2 different decimals (up to the hundredths place) on 2 separate pieces of paper. Then they CRUMPLED these papers up to create "trash". We played a little game of "Cleaning House". Two teams had 1 minute to pick up trash from their side of the courts and throw it over to the other team's side. After 1 minute, the teams picked up whatever trash was left on their side. We then worked in our groups to sort our decimals from least to greatest.

Math Art

Decimal Pixel Art

Students created unique pieces of pixelated art of 5 colors. Each masterpiece was broken down into fractions and decimals of each color.

Math Challenges

Sort Those Decimals!

Students worked in groups to sequence 25 random decimals from least to greatest. 2 teams were able to win a snack to enjoy in our hub with one another.
